Our Mission
At Let Us Give, our mission is to uplift communities in need through targeted charitable initiatives. We strive to make a positive impact by providing resources, support, and education to those most need it.
Inspiration
Our History
This nonprofit is dedicated to honoring the legacy of my mother, who raised six children in a coal mining town in rural West Virginia during the 1950s and 60s. In a community where many lacked basic resources, she stood out for her generosity and compassion.
Though my father was the primary breadwinner, my mother worked tirelessly cleaning homes for just $5 a day. On her daily travels, she often crossed paths with those in need, which sparked her idea to sell hot dogs as a way to raise funds for our church. Every Saturday, she prepared and sold hot dogs with her homemade chili—not the canned kind, but the kind made with care and intention. What wasn’t sold was freely given to those who needed it most.
She never kept a dime for herself. All proceeds went directly to the church, and the act of giving became something sacred in our home. Her kindness left a lasting impression on me and my siblings. We saw firsthand how a simple gesture—like a hot dog and a warm smile—could uplift others. That spirit of service continues to inspire the work we do today.
